Margaret completed her Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 1991 and obtained her Master's degree in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London in 2011. Her 29 years of experience includes that of factory engineer at an EU approved abattoir and meat processing facility, lecturing and head of the electrical engineering department at a tertiary institution, leading the power station operations business unit of a Namibian power utility, steering the projects department responsible for the implementation of new power stations for the same utility and building a leading-edge boutique consulting firm in the business and engineering sectors.

She has substantial experience in the packaging, negotiating, and managing of infrastructure projects, focusing on environmental sustainability, technical feasibility, commercial viability, legal architecture, and financial bank ability. She frequently performed due diligence processes with commercial banks, development banks and funding institutions. Margaret serves on a number of investment fund boards and investment committees as non-executive and independent member.

Since May 2017 she a partner in Mutschler Consulting Services (MCS), a Namibian owned cross-sectoral consultancy. As consultant she provides engineering, management, and development solutions on sustainable projects, across different sectors, whilst assisting clients in the development and implementation of projects, processes and structures which will support the ability of current and future generations to maintain a healthy community.
